The Speaker also made a reference to a severe earthquake in the North-Eatern State of Sikkim on 18th September, 2011. She further made reference to the death of 20 persons and injuries to 50 persons in a stampede at Chandidweep Ghat, Haridwar. She also made a reference to the death of 15 persons and injuries to 65 persons in a fire that broke out in Nand Nagri locality of Delhi. She further made a reference to a massive earthquake in Turkey on 23 October, 2011 and 9 Novermber, 2011. She also made a reference to the tragedy caused by floods in Thailand. |
